musings, scribbles, but mostly because my friends all have blogs too

what happened in the rest of 2007

woo! happy new year! i'm back in greeley again, after a crazy break. i spent two and a half weeks in buenos aires, argentina, visiting M. lots of food, lots of interesting people from all over the world.

the end of last semester was so nuts that i didn't get a lot of time to blog, or do other things like that. i didn't end up finishing nanowrimo. i got to about 25k when i found out that i would be leaving the country and had to bump up my finals a week, and when it came down to it finishing nano again wasn't really that important to me. the novelty of the thing has sort of worn off, no pun intended.

i signed up for a winter interim movement intensive, which i thought started today, but apparently everyone was misinformed and it actually starts tomorrow. so i'm at the library, with a small packed lunch and some books, with nothing to do all day. awesome! everything on campus has been closed the last two days because of new years, and with the internet not hooked up at the new place yet, i have not been able to find an internet connection. but no one's been desperately trying to contact me through email, it seems, so everything is fine.

i've seen all three indiana jones movies in the last three days. take that, pop culture backlog!

i have a new year's resolution. i am going to write one hundred poems in 2008. this poetry thing is working out right now, so i figure i'll just keep riding it. i got a good batch in buenos aires so i have a head start. that's a poem every three or four days, which is a fairly leisurely pace, and with my advanced poetry class next semester, that should carry me through may.

that's me right now.
